Best Ca I've EVER Owned, Bar None
by Chuck on 5/13/2026 6:05:37 PM
I bought my 2500 6.0 in 2004 with a little over 40K miles on it. I actually talked the dealer down in price based upon not NEEDING a 3/4 ton. I cannot overstate how good this truck has been to me. The first set of spark plugs went 130,000 miles. The brakes lasted 145K (and that included towing more times and more weight than I can account for!) and I didn't need to replace the rotors! My truck has mostly been retired from daily duties due to fuel mileage, but it now has 184K on it and aside from a starter and an AC compressor has never failed me. My wife is telling me it's time to sell and I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around that. It'll be like cutting off an arm or giving away one of my children. - 5.0
The beast
by The highway man on 2/21/2026 1:31:11 PM
I love my truck and hope it keeps loving me back. 5.3 is a decent motor as long as you understand how to work on it. I just need to be a little easier on it. The miles are adding up, as they are on me... - 5.0
Best vehicle I ever owned
by Lisa Anthony on 7/3/2025 2:16:55 AM
I bought a 2005 Suburban in 2008. It had 70k miles on it. This beast of a vehicle seemed indestructible. I treated it badly. Had 3 young kids. Didn’t do maintenance like I should have and this thing just kept going. Love them. Best vehicle I ever owned. The only thing I ever had to do was replace the fuel pump. That wasn’t bad. I drove it to E many many times. Needs a lot of gas for sure. But it’s a beast of a vehicle.
